Mindful Mondays with Dr. Barbara Walker (No-Cost)

Mindful Mondays are held virtually each Monday at 8:30 a.m. and is designed for you to start your week with an intentional pause and practice a guided mindfulness exercise.

Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation with Dr. Barbara Walker (No-Cost, In-Person)

Offered weekly in-person at the Blood Cancer Healing Center, each class offers a blend of foundational teachings on mindfulness principles, followed by guided meditations to cultivate present moment awareness, and concludes with a space to share insights and reflections with fellow participants.

Mindfulness Meditation for Restorative Health (No-Cost, Virtual Series): A four-part series facilitated by Barbara Walker, Ph.D., an Integrative Health and Performance Psychologist. Mindfulness meditation involves the practice of paying attention to the present moment, deliberately and nonjudgmentally. The class meets for an hour once a week on Microsoft Teams, and covers the following topics:

  • Week 1: Getting started with mindfulness
  • Week 2: Preparing for mindful living
  • Week 3: Building resilience, compassion, and creativity
  • Week 4: Creating acceptance

This series is offered at no cost to patients, and space is limited. To learn more and to register, call 513-475-9567 and ask for Dava.

Practical Tools for Starting a Mindfulness Practice (Virtual 5-Week Series)

This 5-week virtual mindfulness course will help you understand how to incorporate mindfulness practice as a consistent habit in a way that is right for you.

How to redeem points in the THRIVE app: click on “Rewards.” Scroll down to “Integrative Medicine.” Fill in all required fields and upload proof (registration confirmation, etc.) then click “submit.”

Be Well UC - UC Faculty/Staff

Eligible faculty and staff can earn 1,000+ Be Well UC points in the Personify Health portal with UC’s employee wellness program for attending offerings with the Osher Center for Integrative Health, and earn up to $300 every calendar year. Get started by creating an account or logging in, click the “Home” icon near the top, then, click “Rewards”. Scroll (or search) to the “Participation” category. Click “Attend a UC sponsored event”.
