Asian American / Pacific Islander Association

The Cincinnati Asian American/Pacific Islander group is a collective of residents and fellows across all specialties and years throughout UC and Cincinnati Children's who aim to build community surrounding our diverse cultures.

Our group’s focus over recent years has revolved around fun gatherings and social events such as celebrating cultural holidays and exploring the local food scene together, but with our continued growth we aim to establish mentorship opportunities between residents, fellows, and attendings, as well community outreach and mentorship with the medical school’s APAMSA/AAPI groups.

Our aim is to build an enriching network across all levels that celebrates our diversity and heritage both in and out of the hospital. 

Currently, the associations leaders are Samuel Chen (current IM resident) and Clara Mao (current Med-Peds resident).
