The involvement of the University of Cincinnati and its physician practice, UC Physicians, in research studies is crucial to understanding diseases and developing new ways to understand, prevent or treat health problems.
Research studies, or trials as they are often called, depend on volunteers who agree to be part of carefully controlled tests that measure the effects of medications, medical treatments or devices. By volunteering, you can further medical knowledge and potentially help others.
UC's mission is to be a leader in improving health. As part of that mission, doctors and scientists within the UC Department of Internal Medicne conduct research that improves the quality of care in the community, the nation and the world.
The following link provides a list of recent government-based clinical trials taking place at the UC Academic Health Center. This information is obtained from the Clinical Trials Website. Please note that this is not an all-inclusive list.
