About the Division

The UC Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism is committed to improving the health of our region with the highest standard of clinical care, insights from innovative research and education of healthcare providers, patients and the community.

We provide tertiary level clinical care for all endocrine disorders, ranging from diabetes, pituitary, adrenal, bone, lipid and thyroid disorders. We provide integrated transgender endocrine care, as well as care for adolescent patients with endocrine disorders as they transition to adulthood.

The UC Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism has practices in Clifton and in West Chester. These clinics provide care for the full range of endocrinology including diabetes, lipid disorders and diseases of the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, parathyroid and gonads.

Physicians in the division work closely with surgical experts at UC Health to manage tumors of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands. Our practices include podiatric care, nurse specialists and diabetes educators to provide key components of diabetes management at a single site.

UC Health University of Cincinnati Medical Center has an inpatient diabetes management team to supervise treatment of abnormal blood glucose and provide patient education.

Current research activities in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism are focused on diabetes, integrated mechanisms causing obesity, metabolic signaling, lung and brain development and rare genetic lipid disorders.

Clinical trials in the division focus on new treatments for a variety of endocrine diseases and provide opportunities for physicians and patients to have access to the latest medications and treatments. Current Clinical Trials
