Marvin Tabor, PhD, an emeritus professor of the University of Cincinnati, died on Jan. 27, 2016 at age 71. Tabor earned his PhD in biological chemistry from UC and joined the faculty of the Department of Environmental Health in 1979, where he was professor and director of the analytical chemistry and environmental analytical chemistry laboratories. Tabor worked globally in his contributions to medical science, serving as a visiting scientist in the Netherlands, Sweden, England, Mexico and China throughout his career. He received many accolades for his outstanding service both across Ohio and abroad, as well as distinguished service awards from his alma maters Emory & Henry College and Marshall University.
