Core Overview
The Genomics, Epigenomics, and Sequencing Core (GES Core), originally named Genomics and Microarray Laboratory, was established in 1999. In 2012, the core was transformed into the next-generation sequencing-based facility, which provides services to researchers at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, as well as other institutions nationwide.
Since then, the core has been fully sustainable and maintains a financially healthy status. We now have one of the best-equipped laboratories in the College of Medicine for the next generation sequencing, single-cell sequencing, and many other services in Genomics and Epigenomics.
