OverviewWe prepare graduates to work as physicians in a public health setting, combining a degree in clinical care with a degree in approaching health and illness at the population level. Graduates have the skills and knowledge needed to identify and research public health issues, implement evidence-based solutions, and to engage in population health research, policymaking, education, and communication.
OverviewThe training program in Biostatistics is designed to provide students with an understanding of the mathematical underpinnings of statistical theory and the practical applications of statistical techniques. Students are encouraged to apply their classroom learning to data collected by the faculty, including those data collected for their grants or contracts.
OverviewAll students learn to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and design programs and systems to control exposures in the environmental or occupational setting that are causing or may be expected to result in adverse human health effects.
OverviewThe Division of Epidemiology provides an interdisciplinary training environment to explore environmental, occupational, clinical, quantitative, community, molecular, and genetic epidemiology. Training in biostatistics covers basic and advanced methods of data analysis, including statistical genetics and bioinformatics.
OverviewThe Master of Science degree program in Clinical and Translational Research is designed to provide clinical professionals (physicians, nurses and other terminal degree clinical professionals) with the necessary preparation for successful career developmental and independent investigator awards.
