This tumor board begins with a half-hour didactic session, given on a rotating basis by radiation oncology, surgical oncology, pathology, medical oncology, radiology, genetics or plastic surgery. An hour of patient management discussion ensues with presentations of both local and community cases. It is well attended by all the above specialties, as well as nurses and nurse practitioners, a nurse navigator, pharmacists and tumor registry personnel.

The Pancreas/Hepatobiliary conference is held from 12:30 – 1:30 pm on Wednesday of each week, before the Gastrointestinal conference. It is attended by radiation oncology residents and attendings, hematology oncology fellows and attendings and surgical residents and attendings. At the conference, newly diagnosed tumors of the pancreas, lever and biliary tract are presented and discussed. Pertinent radiographic studies and pathologic slides are presented and discussed by the radiologists, pathologists and attendings including optimal treatment as well as potential morbidities and expected efficacy.
