Welcome to the University of Cincinnati Pathology Residency Program! Thank you for visiting our site and taking the time to learn more about our program. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati has a long and rich tradition in teaching, research, and service.
We seek to create and support an environment where discovery, inquiry, and learning are encouraged. Our goal is to educate residents to become competent in the field of anatomic and clinical pathology to practice where they choose. We offer the experience of clinical services and consultations in an academic setting interspersed with external rotations to expose residents to the variety of practice that a career in pathology offers.
We promote excellence through teaching and practice in accordance with the ACGME approved guidelines leading to board eligibility. We teach relevant, meaningful and well-defined up-to-date clinical science as it applies to current trends in patient care. In short, we invite residents to experience the full spectrum of opportunities to meet their individual career goals. With six blocks of electives, our program is customizable to the interests of our residents. We also seek to support our residents as people and provide many opportunities for feedback and resident involvement in program leadership.
We are proud to have a 100% AP/CP board pass rate over the last 6 years, and to see our trainees go on to top fellowships, and ultimately secure the jobs of their choosing. We hope you enjoy learning more about our program!
Sincerely,
