I came to Cincinnati for residency after living the first several years of my life in Germany followed by 18 years in Kentucky. I immediately fell in love with this city and this program, so much so that I wanted to do a chief resident year to give back to it and try to build on the great things our current and past leaders have already created and fine-tuned.

My career plans are to pursue pediatric pulmonology fellowship training. I hope to build a career where I can care for children with chronic lung diseases, especially as they become adults and transition into a new phase of life. The guidance and clinical experiences that this program has provided have allowed what started as a sliver of an interest to blossom into a dream career.

My wonderful wife, Caiti, and I just welcomed our first son and are having a great time exploring Cincinnati in a new way with him. We especially love all the opportunities to experience the outdoors with him and the fact that we can mix this with a lively arts and sports scene. Our program, from leadership to current residents, have supported our growing family more than I could have imagined, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to train and grow up at this amazing program for the last four years.
