Thank you for your interest in the Medical Sciences Baccalaureate Program! We have a simple and powerful philosophy that forms the core around which the program is built: To help our students find their passion, and bring out the very best in themselves.
We believe that a bright young person interested in a career in medicine or related health sciences can benefit most from an undergraduate program that provides a rich variety of hands-on experiences in a healthcare, service-learning, global health, or laboratory setting, combined with individual mentoring by medical school faculty, medical students/residents, and graduate students.
We are committed to attracting excellent students from across the nation and the world who come together on campus to form a community of scholars. We use a holistic application review process and consider "the whole person" in addition to their academic record and extracurricular credentials. Admission to the program is quite selective, but we strive to maintain personal contact with you and your family throughout the process.
I invite you to spend time exploring our website and relevant links to learn more about our programs. Of course, the best way to learn about UC and the College of Medicine is to experience it firsthand—please come see for yourself through one of our many campus visit programs.
Warm regards,
Anil G. Menon, PhDProgram Director and ProfessorUniversity of Cincinnati College of Medicine
