Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Physiology is a single-semester course designed for students with an interest in human physiology and the medical sciences as they pertain to fetal and neonatal life. This course will continue from the reproductive physiology section of Human Physiology (MEDS3026). Emphasis will be placed on physiological homeostasis during pregnancy and the early neonatal period in health as well as disruptions found in some disease processes. Course content will include maternal physiological adaptation, fetal and neonatal physiology of the major organ systems. The course will be textbook based and include other text resources available online or provided to you by the course director.
