2024 Virtual Open House

Our program will host a virtual open house for interested applicants on Monday, Sept 16, 2024, at 6:30 pm EST.  Dermatology residents and the program director, Dr. Alan Fleischer, will be participating.  It will be an opportunity to learn more about our program, our residents and faculty, and life in Cincinnati.  Applicants are welcome to submit questions/topics of interest in advance to the program coordinator at joan.griggs@uc.edu.

How to Apply

The UC Department of Dermatology will offer four PGY2 residency positions through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for the training year beginning July 1, 2026 . All applications should be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications received outside of ERAS will not be accepted.

An application will be considered complete when all required documents are uploaded into ERAS.

ERAS application materials must include:

• Curriculum vitae
• Personal statement
• USMLE scores
• Transcripts
• Dean's Letter
• 3 recommendation letters (minimum of 3 letters required; additional letters accepted if applicant chooses)
• ECFMG certificate for foreign medical graduates

For the 2025 ERAS® cycle, our program will be participating in the supplemental ERAS application offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program. If you are an international medical graduate, please contact your local Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) office for more information on ERAS.

The deadline for receipt of all application documents in ERAS is October 14, 2024. Applications that are not complete by this date will not be considered. Review of complete applications will begin in early October. All applicants are notified following review of the complete application.

Interviews will be virtual and are by invitation only. Interview dates are Thursdays, Dec 12, 2024, Dec 19, 2024, and Jan 9, 2025.  We anticipate sending invitations in two rounds in mid-late November/early December, 2024.
