The pediatric dermatology fellowship program at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center aims to train physicians in all aspects of pediatric dermatology, including clinical care, research, scholarly activity, resident and medical student education, and administration and office management. A physician graduating from this program will be capable of providing specialized outpatient care and inpatient consultative services for children with a wide range of both common and uncommon skin disorders. It is intended that fellow trainees will build the foundation to further a career in academic clinical practice.
Fellows in the pediatric dermatology fellowship training program at Cincinnati Children's will be trained under the guidelines established by the American Board of Dermatology. There are currently 2 positions open per year.
The pediatric dermatology fellowship is an ACGME accredited one-year program that satisfies the requirements of the American Board of Dermatology for subspecialty board certification in Pediatric Dermatology. In order to apply for subspecialty board certification, fellows must first have completed a three-year residency in Dermatology and achieved primary board certification by the American Board of Dermatology.
