A full-time post doc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Maria Czyzyk-Krzeska in the Department of Cancer Biology and University of Cincinnati Cancer Center in the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies. Dr. Czyzyk-Krzeska is a physician scientist focusing on the frequent malignant renal cancer, clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Her research integrates state-of-the-art molecular biology using cell-based and animal models as well as system biology bioinformatics multiomics technologies to investigate mechanisms of ccRCC progression and to establish prognostic and predictive biomarkers. The leading focus is cancer metabolism (J Clin Invest 2021;131(1):e140522. https://doi.org/10.1172/JCI140522). The research team includes internal faculty, post docs, graduate students, and external collaborators in the fields of molecular biology and biochemistry, bioinformatics, chemistry, and medical oncology. This environment is conductive for high-quality multidisciplinary training and provides strong mentoring towards development into an independent investigator.
