The Breast Cancer Research Program at the Department of Cancer Biology, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine promotes research collaboration and excellence in breast cancer with a goal to become a national leading center for breast cancer research. The program builds upon our longstanding history and current strengths within the Department of Cancer Biology and many other academic units at UC and CCHMC to understand the molecular mechanisms of breast cancer progression, metastasis, drug resistance and recurrence, and to promote multidisciplinary collaborations and the development of safer and more effective next-generation diagnostics and therapeutics. The program is formed through joint efforts by the Department of Cancer Biology, University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, and College of Medicine, and is an important part of our current effort to attain NCI-cancer center designation. We welcome all investigators with current and future breast cancer research interest to join and work together to achieve our goals by:
