MSTP alumna Katelyn Melgar, MD, PhD, recently received a $50,000 Conquer Cancer Young Investigator Award to continue her research. Dr. Melgar completed her residency through Internal Medicine PSTP at UC following her graduation from the program in 2021, and now works as a Cancer Center physician scientist and instructor in the IM department of UCCoM. The award will help to fund her research on "overcoming drug resistance in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)".
