The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Honors Day is the annual ceremony at which members of the graduating class are hooded, signifying the completion of their studies for the Doctor of Medicine degree or combined MD-MPH or MD/PhD degree.
The speakers for the Honors Day Ceremony typically include the president of the University of Cincinnati, dean of the UC College of Medicine, and a class representative selected by the graduating class. Students are recognized for awards given by the College of Medicine and by the college’s individual departments.
Recipients of the Daniel Drake Medal, the highest honor conferred by the College of Medicine to living faculty and alumni for their outstanding or unique contributions to medical education, scholarship or research, typically attend the Honors Day ceremony.
This year's Honors Day ceremony will be scheduled for Saturday May 3, 2025 at 10am at Fifth Third Arena (2700 O'Varsity Way, Cincinnati, OH 45221). We look forward to celebrating our graduates! The ceremony and livestream will begin at 10am.
