We are always looking for highly motivated postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, who are interested in joining a 'systems genetics' research lab to understand the role of sex differences and mitochondrial metabolism in metabolic diseases.
Potential candidates should contact me directly via chellakn@ucmail.uc.edu describing their research focus and a specific line of investigation relevant to the research goals of the K lab, along with a CV and names of references.
Prospective students who are interested in joining the K lab should apply to the PSP graduate programs. Current students who are interested in doing a lab rotation can contact me directly via chellakn@ucmail.uc.edu.
Current Sophomores or rising Juniors will have the opportunity to learn how to perform experiments, analyze data and prepare reports. Students making exceptional progress can expect to be included as a co-author on abstracts submitted to scientific meetings or a manuscript for publication, and to have the opportunity to present their work at regional and national scientific meetings. To apply, please contact me directly via chellakn@ucmail.uc.edu describing in a sentence or two your interest in research. Please attach your resume or CV and include your cumulative GPA and science GPA.
