Dec 12, 2023 - Dr. Jeffrey G. Tasker visited from Tulane University. His talk was “Neuromodulatory control of basolateral amygdala inhibitory circuits controlling fear memory and dysregulation by traumatic stress”.

Dec 2023 - Dr. Chella Krishnan, representing UC, will be the President Elect for the 2025 conference of the Ohio Physiological Society (OPS).

Dec 2023 – Dr. Chella Krishnan gave an invited talk, "Hepatic lipid droplet-associated mitochondria are bioenergetically active but compromised for fatty acid oxidation in nonalcoholic steatohepatitis", at the 6th Annual Mitochondria Symposium at UCLA.

Dec 2023 – In "Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications", Drs. Kirley (pictured) and Norman describe a Novel partial reduction of the humanized anti-cocaine mAb h2E2 for selective cysteine labeling.

Dec 2023 – A multisite group including Dr. Fan investigated Nicotinamide mononucleotide as a therapeutic agent to alleviate multi-organ failure in sepsis.

Dec 2023 – Sobuj Mia, MD,  gave an oral presentation at the American Heart Scientific Sessions.

Dec 2023 – Seth Reighard, MD, PhD, a psychiatry resident in the Wohleb lab, was awarded the Chair’s Choice Fellowship to attend the Society for Biological Psychiatry meeting in May 2024.

Dec 2023 – Dr. Chella Krishnan has joined the Program Committee for the annual meeting of the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences (OSSD) in Bergen, Norway, in May, 2024.
