About the Accredited EMS Fellowship

University Of Cincinnati’s Department Of Emergency Medicine’s Division of EMS has hosted a Fellowship in Emergency Medical Services Medicine since 1996. In 2013, the Fellowship was one of the initial programs in the country to receive full accreditation by the ACGME in the first year it was offered. The fellowship supports three Fellows yearly, with applications accepted on a rolling basis, but interviews are generally held in the Fall.

Fellow salary is commensurate with PGY-4/5 scale for the University of Cincinnati. Clinical work at one of our associated community hospitals provides the fellow with additional hourly-compensated income with hours limited by ACGME standards. Total annual compensation is over $100,000.

The fellow will be part of the University Of Cincinnati Department Of Emergency Medicine, the nation’s oldest Emergency Medicine residency training program, and will grow in a robust educational and research environment:

Application Process

The EMS Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati provides a broad and flexible EMS education with the support of a strong academic department and plenty of opportunity.

Applicants should have completed an Emergency Medicine residency program and the fellow is expected to be a self-motivated individual.

Applications are currently being accepted for 2025-2026.
