Please note that due to COVID-19, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is not currently accepting visiting international students for clinical electives.
Applicants are encouraged to check back periodically for any status updates.
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine offers electives for international visiting medical students. However, due to an increase in class size, the College of Medicine is not accepting international students for clinical electives currently, except for those schools with which there is already an existing Activity Agreement in place. These include Chongqing Medical University (China), University of Lubeck (Germany), Ludwig Maximilians University (Germany), Universidad Iberoamericana (Dominican Republic), Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (Peru), United Arab Emirates University (UAE), Ben Gurion University (Israel), Tel Aviv University (Israel), and Alfaisal University (Saudi Arabia).
The following application materials should be submitted via email directly to COMGlobalHealth@uc.edu
Upon approval, applicants must submit a $500 application fee payable to the University of Cincinnati via check or money order.

For individuals interested in learning more about the US healthcare system, the modules below provide relevant information and are required for all international visiting medical students at the College of Medicine. These modules contain both slides and audio recordings.
