The Office of Faculty Affairs & Development have created new development programming for our faculty in the areas of professional development, research development, teaching and education development, and wellness. MARCH 18, 2026 Medpace Series: Enhancing UC’s competitive position for industry sponsored trials

Description: Medpace and UC have partnered to bring "Charting the Course of Drug Development" seminar series to campus (in-person & virtual) as part of the Research Development workshop offerings.

The fifth seminar in the series will highlight:

  • Understand the process and criteria which Sponsors and CROs consider in site selection
  • Identify the pillars of a competitive site
  • Learn actionable improvements
MARCH 24, 2026 Understanding The Advance Ohio Higher Education Act and Teaching “Controversial Issues”

Description: Many instructors are wondering how the Advance Ohio Higher Education Act will impact what and how they teach at UC. The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in collaboration with campus partners is gathering resources and fostering conversations across campus to support instructors gain clarity about how the bill impacts classroom instruction and incorporate strategies to build confidence in facilitating conversations when controversial issues—planned and unplanned—enter the classroom

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

  1. Understand how the Advance Ohio Higher Education Act defines “controversial issues” and UC’s current guidance on facilitating conversations on controversial topics
  2. Describe a variety of strategies aimed at preparing for controversial conversations
  3. Identify tools to facilitate conversations with multiple divergent viewpoints
  4. Discuss and share how to implement strategies in courses
