Lauren is starting her MPH degree with a focus on Epidemiology in the fall semester 2022. She recently graduated from Ohio University with a focus on community and public health as a major and biology as a minor. Lauren is passionate about public health, working in Athens in a number of settings during her undergraduate training. She is especially interested in developing a telehealth application to support maternal health to improve the lives of African American women and children. We are excited about her award and being a member of our rapidly growing MPH Program.

Albert C. Yates fellowship is named for Dr. Yates, the first African American vice president and dean for graduate studies here at UC. A key element of this award is to promote and support individuals who are African American or of Appalachian heritage and are earning their degree here at the University of Cincinnati.
