Dr. Lorenz is currently a professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Systems Physiology in the UC College of Medicine and been on the faculty 1994. He has long-standing interest in cardiovascular and renal physiology, with a focus on regulatory mechanisms in whole animal models (mice and rats). Dr. Lorenz also participates actively in medical student and graduate education, particular with respect to the Special Master’s Program in Physiology.

Ms. Nieman is a highly skilled Research Scientist, who has been at the University of Cincinnati for over 20 years. She has formal training in animal experimentation and surgery and is uniquely skilled in the generation of surgical models of disease, and diagnostic procedure in mice. She has helped dozens of students, pot-docs and even faculty in the use of surgical techniques in mice.
