The Division of Gynecologic Oncology and Advanced Pelvic Surgery plays an active role in the educational activities of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati.
The division faculty supervises third-year medical students, lectures in the third year clerkship, conducts formal discussions in wards and clinics with medical students and conducts oral and written examinations for students.
Obstetrics and Gynecology residents rotate through the division, gaining comprehensive training in the workup and management of patients with pre-malignant and malignant gynecologic disease.
Our residents are trained, specifically, in complicated gynecologic disease, management of critically ill patients, chemotherapy administration and the psychosocial needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
