Our Vision:
Our Mission:
Our faculty consists of physicians, allied health professionals and adjunct faculty from the medical center and the region. Our physiatrists work very closely with physical, occupational and speech therapists, psychologists, rehabilitation nurses, prosthetists, and orthotists as well as primary care physicians and subspecialists throughout the greater Cincinnati area. In partnership with UC Health, UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute, VA Medical Center, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, we are focused on providing the highest level of rehabilitation care to those in Cincinnati and the surrounding areas.
Our academic mission is centered on educating and training the next generation of physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). We provide clinical education to undergraduate medical students through neuroscience rotations during their clerkship year and PM&R electives, fostering a strong foundation in the principles and practice of rehabilitation medicine.
With a residency program established in 1988, we have a longstanding commitment to excellence in graduate medical education. Our nationally recognized faculty bring a wealth of clinical expertise and educational leadership, with many serving on national committees dedicated to advancing medical student and resident education. Through our commitment to teaching, mentorship, and academic leadership, we strive to prepare future physicians to deliver exceptional patient care and advance the field of PM&R.
There are two distinct residency training programs. The categorical Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program includes an integrated internship year within the University of Cincinnati Department of Internal Medicine. The Pediatrics/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program is dually supported by the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
