Our clinical faculty members are part of UC Health Physicians and are recognized by "Best Doctors in America" and "Top Doctors" in Cincinnati. All clinical faculty are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and operate in the context of multidisciplinary disease- oriented teams. This approach fosters an integrated approach to cancer care. Several of our faculty lead research projects, clinical trials or bench-based cancer research pertaining to their cancer sub-specialty. As a result pf these efforts, our physicians have developed a degree of expertise that is recognized nationally. Major areas of expertise include gastrointestinal oncology, head and neck cancers, thoracic oncology, breast cancer, acute leukemias and chronic leukemias/lymphomas, bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies, bleeding and thrombosis disorders, and early drug development.
Multidisciplinary CareAs part of the University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute, we work as a team with our UC Health colleagues in Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Transfusion Medicine, Clinical Immunology and various other disciplines to treat cancer patients.
Our faculty and practitioners are an integral part of the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, Centers of Excellence, multidisciplinary clinics and tumor boards to co-ordinate patient care and clinical research. This environment provides our patients with a team of physicians and other professionals who specialize in their particular type of cancer and hematologic disease.
