The Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Neurobiology hosted its  Trainee Research Day on May 13^th, 2026. Dr. Patricia Janak, PhD (Bloomberg Distinguished Professor, Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences; Department of Neuroscience, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine) delivered an excellent keynote lecture: "Alcohol, Reward, and Decision Making".

Pharmacology & Physiology PhD Students Taylor Peach (Sah lab, Front row-leftmost) and Francisca Akhigbe (Gao lab, Front row- 2nd from the left) won for best oral presentation and David Jones (Alles lab, Front row-3rd from the left) and Griffin Shaffer (Prasad lab, Front row- rightmost) won for best poster presentation. The department enjoyed many well-presented talks and posters.  Congratulations to the trainees, and thanks to the faculty and staff who help with their training.
