Work in Progress (WIP) Seminars

Work in Progress seminars provide graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with a structured forum to present ongoing research, receive constructive feedback, and develop their scientific communication skills. Trainees give data‑driven talks focused on their overarching biological question, current experiments and results, and next steps. Each session includes time for questions and discussion, allowing peers and faculty to offer technical suggestions, alternative interpretations, and career‑relevant advice. The goals of the series are to help trainees gain experience and confidence by presenting their work to a broad scientific audience, fostering collaboration, and receiving insights, feedback, and suggestions.
