DESCRIPTION:This NIOSH-approved spirometry training course (approval #010) 
 deals with all aspects of spirometry testing. One special aspect of this c
 ourse is the high quality of individual instruction consisting of three (3
 ) days. All lectures are given by Dr. Roy McKay\, who has taught this cour
 se for nearly three (3) decades. This course uses a combination of lecture
 s and hands-on practice to learn spirometry testing. Technique and problem
 -solving sessions will be conducted using small groups with no more than f
 ive (5) students per instructor. Because a small class size is important t
 o ensure proper training of the student\, the class size is limited.Our th
 ree-day program is designed for individuals who desire more information th
 an a 2-day program. The additional day allows more time using the spiromet
 er to improve the student's testing technique. The third day also gives th
 e student an additional evening to prepare for the final exam. A certifica
 te is awarded to all students who successfully pass the final examination.
